Iestyn Morris, award winning counter tenor and member of The Welsh National Opera is set to release his stellar EP later this year. A brilliant collection of classic choral music, Iestyn Morris is breaking boundaries and causing quite a stir in the music world.
Inspired by classical composers of 19th and 20th centuries as well as 16th century Jacobean poets, Iestyn combines his love for all things archaic into this new release. Iestyn cites the likes of Hubert Parry, Quilter and Tippet as his main influences.
A former winner of the Tracey Chadwell Award for contemporary song and also winner of the Patricia Routledge National English Song Competition, Morris has performed at the top level from a young age. His reputation within the industry is such that he was specially invited to return to the latter for its centenary, as a member of the prestigious judging panel.
