When creating your summer time playlist, ‘Move Yo Body’ needs to be on there somewhere between ‘Summertime’ and ‘Good Life.’ Backed by So Sharp Productions, rapper, singer and producer Discrete has come out with his entry for the summer anthem. ‘Move Yo Body’ is a track for taking in the rays on the beach, rolling a window down during long drives and a must play to keep a chill mood for any BBQ.

With several mix tapes and one full length album (Birds Eye View) already under his belt, ‘Move Yo Body’ comes from Discrete’s most recent album, Let Me Remind You. Drawing influence from other artists such as Mac Dre, Keyshia Cole, E-40 and G-Eazy, Discrete is a multitalented hip hop artist raised in the Bay Area of Northern California and aspires for nothing short of greatness. Musically, Discrete and can be compared to the likes of Sage the Gemini (who features on Let Me Remind You on ‘Try This’) but can be likened to either Kanye West or Drake when it comes to his lyrics. Beginning as a young, shy kid who passed time skateboarding, Discrete has grown into an all round confident artist who knows what he wants and plans to stop at nothing until he gets it. Discrete’s music draws on personal inspiration as well as that of other artists with songs on Let Me Remind You recounting real life stories that have been shaped to become a form of art. Let Me Remind You is completely Discrete’s project with the guy writing, recording and mixing the entire thing himself.
The only thing discrete about Discrete is how his infections music is so easy to listen to that you’ve had the same song on repeat for hours before you’ve even realised it. Something that can be listened to over and over again, ‘Move Yo Body’ is a laid-back track on its way to becoming a summer hit.
